A lifelong artist, Traci Soto expresses herself through a variety of mediums, including oils, acrylics, pencils, and photography.
The critical success garnered by her piece, American Flag '93, propelled her further into the realm of abstract painting. It was around that same time that she developed a signature technique, implementing it in many of her works. Through this technique, Soto alters the texture of her paintings, creating a sense of chaos through sharp lines, stark contrast, and irregular shapes.
Soto’s works have been exhibited in art and photography shows throughout Southern New Jersey.
Andy Warhol, Jackson Pollock, Edward Hopper, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Andrew Wyeth, and Georgia O’Keeffe are just a few of Traci’s primary influences. Like many artists before her, she continues to employ her signature method while constantly evolving. Most recently, she’s experimented with pigments and additives in her pieces.
Traci works as a graphic designer and photographer. She is based in Southern New Jersey and enjoys working in her home studio space, which she shares with her husband Daniel, an abstract portrait artist.
